The House of Representatives of the Republic of Somaliland today held the 9th session of its 12th term, chaired by Speaker of the House, Mr. Siciid Mire Faarax (Giirre). During the session, the House formally approved the Law on the Structure of the Government and Independent Agencies, an important legislative step aimed at regulating the organization and functioning of state institutions. The session also included a briefing from the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mr. Cabdiraxmaan Aadan Bakaal, who presented the Draft Somaliland Diplomatic Missions Act. This proposed law outlines the framework, functions, and responsibilities of Somaliland’s diplomatic missions, with the aim of strengthening the protection of national interests and enhancing international relations.
